Chapel Of The Good Shepherd
 Located within the grounds of the Royal Naval Hospital, The Chapel Of The
Good Shepherd Church was built in 1889 and was able to accommodate almost
300 worshippers.
It was damaged during World War Two.
The Chapel was re-opened on February 16th1944 with a service conducted
by the Chaplain of the Fleet, The Venerable Archdeacon J K Wilson, MA.

St George
St George's Church was situated in Chapel Street, Stonehouse.
This Church occupied the site of the ancient chapel dedicated to St Lawrence.
It was built in 1789. It consisted of chancel, nave, porch, and a tower with
pinnacles
containing 8 bells.
It was renovated in 1882-83 with the addition of a new chancel. and seated 1,100.
A mission hall for the parish was erected in 1890-91.
The Church was damaged in World War Two and services were held in 1953 in nearby
St Paul's Church.
Regrettably it was never rebuilt.
St Matthew St Matthew's Church was situated in Clarence Place,
opposite the Royal
Naval Hospital.
The church was erected in 1875 and an ecclesiastical parish formed in 1876.
There were about 730 sittings. The first vicar was Mr W A Prideaux.

Paul
St Paul's Church is situated at the southern end of Durnford Street and seats
450.
An ecclesiastical parish was formed December 12th 1883.
It was restored 1885-86 and in 1891 the chancel was added.
Wesleyan
Built in 1813 and rebuilt in1857
It was located on the north side of Edgcumbe Street, on the corner with
Brownlow
Street.
It seated over 1,000 people.
